it was now sunday morning and you were simply basking in your warm bed as the morning sun shone down on your through the small gap in your windows, relaxing after a long day the day before.
even laying in bed doing nothing, you found it hard to keep the smile off your face from the day previous.
since moving to kimetsu high, you had felt more included and appreciated than you had for every day together at your old school. your friends here actually like you rather than hanging out with you due to proximity obligation.
here, your friends go out of their way to bring you places and hang out with you. it makes you feel so warm and happy and just like now you can't keep the smile off your face.
you roll over onto your stomach, pressing your face in the pillow with a bright grin as you sway your legs back and forth. it felt like you were gushing over a crush, but instead it was every single one of your friends.
you give a contended sigh, but a ding! leaves you perking up.

you beam bright, overjoyed hakuji invited you out as warmth stains your cheeks, giddiness filling you as you stuff your face into the pillow again, screeching lightly.
you give yourself only a minute to gush before jumping up, gathering your stuff to have a quick shower. you quickly lather yourself with your best smelling soap, keeping your hair dry before jumping out and drying yourself, picking out an outfit with your tongue poked out lightly.
contented with what you picked, you give a grin, dressing yourself quickly in a white crochet-style button-up top, small denim shorts with straps around the waist, some red cowboy-style boots and finally grabbing a red, leather shoulder bag. you slip some [silver/gold/other metal] rings on and a charm bracelet, slipping some black headphones over your neck and tying a red heart necklace around your neck alongside them.
you tie your hair into a slick back ponytail, slipping some black sunglasses onto your head and giving a grin in your mirror, feeling confident in the outfit you've picked.
you grab your phone, checking the time as it reads 10:04. you hum lightly, grabbing your lipgloss and slipping it in your pocket and then spritzing a fair amount of [favourite perfume] all over.
fully ready, you grin and grab your keys, hurrying out of your room to find your parents cuddled up together on the lounge, watching greys anatomy.
"ma, pa, i'm going out with hakuji!" you call, the two pausing the show and turning around.
your mother gains a sly grin, "hakuji, hey? is this a boyfriend?"
you roll your eyes, but your cheeks steal all the same. "no!" you detest but your father laughs in your face.
"yeah, right. well, have a fun time" he croons, grinning like a lunatic.
"you're both insane" you roll your eyes, but give them a wave and head out the door.
thankfully the drive to the shops is only like ten minutes so you arrive with minutes to spare, quickly applying some lip gloss in your rear view mirror and tightening your ponytail, cheeks flushing slightly at the thought of hanging out with hakuji.
you exit the car, making sure you have everything in tow before heading into the shops, the crowd bustling around you as you weave through to head for the store you planned to meet hakuji at, the time now 10:26.
when you get closer, you notice the boy already there, watching something on his phone. you grin, prancing up to him quickly as his back was turned to you.
"boo" you whisper in his ear as he literally screams and jumps around, gaping at you.
you gape back for a moment before bursting into laughter, a few people glancing your way with a mix of annoyance and amusement glinting in their eyes at the interaction.
hakuji deadpans, unimpressed at your amusement of scaring the shit out of him.
"oh my god, you scream like a girl!"
his cheeks burn and he crosses his arms with a huff, "it's not my fault you scared me!"
"you should know better than to have your back turned to me- OW!" you whine as he flicks your forehead.
you huff, rubbing your forehead and glaring at his smug grin. "whatever. where are we going first?"
"i need to get a present for my mum's birthday"
"hmm" you hum, "well, do you have something in mind?"
he crosses his arms and ponders, "er, not really.. what do mums even want nowadays?" he scratches his head.
"well, not vacuum cleaners" you snort.
he raises a brow, "who on earth would get their mother cleaning supplies for her birthday?"
you laugh, "you'd be surprised"
he squints in confusion, but shrugs, "i know she likes jewellery"
you beam, "perfect! let's start there"
he nods, blinking as you grab his hand and begin dragging him to the nearest jewellery store, cheeks burning at your soft hand grabbing his rough one. his eyes take over your outfit for a moment and he finds himself burning hotter, shaking his head quickly to rid of the thoughts of his heart thumping against his chest.
"so what kind of jewellery are you thinking?" you begin, barely noticing your hand was still grasping his tightly, "necklace? bracelet? earrings?"
hakuji clears his throat slightly, "umm.. maybe a necklace or bracelet? she already has lots of earrings"
"okay. does she wear silver or gold? or rose gold? or white gold?" you hum, pondering the options.
he blinks owlishly, slightly dazed with all the types. "er.. does it matter?"
you deadpan, "of course it matters"
hakuji sighs, "okay, um.."
he ponders, squinting,
you roll your eyes, "does she have an instagram?"
he startles, squinting at your weirdly, "why do you want my mothers instagram?"
you deadpan, "don't make it weird, you freak! i want to look at her jewellery!"
"oh"
he shakes his head and pulls his phone out to search for his mothers instagram, handing you the phone.
at once you wolf whistle, ingraining the handle in your mind. "wooh! i see where you get your looks from" you wink, oblivious to the way the boys face turns beet red as you zoom in on one of her pictures.
"okay, silver for sure" you nod, glancing at the boy and blinking oddly at his cherry red face. "jesus, are you okay, bro? you feelin alright?" you question worriedly.
he shakes his head, "just fine" he sighs, "silver it is"
"perfff" you grin, dragging him into the store and to the area where the necklaces and bracelets are displayed.
"damn these are so pretty" you murmur, eyes trailing along the rows of bracelets.
"does she normally wear very shimmery stuff or more minimalistic?"
"she likes going quite all out" hakuji deadpans at the thought of his mother, the woman liking to wear nice, showy jewellery at all times.
"diva" you nod as hakuji rolls his eyes.
you push hakuji towards the jewellery, "stop being lazy and help me look"
"you- grr" he glares at you but huffs, eyes scanning the rows of jewellery, eyes finally landing on a shimmering bracelet with diamond encrusted along it.
"that one" he murmurs, pointing at it. "that's nice, right?"
"that's literally gorgeous bru. she's gonna love it" you grin, turning your head to catch the attention of a worker.
it doesn't take long for hakuji to purchase the bracelet, and you glance around, "are you thirsty? i'm thirsty"
he blinks, "yeah"
"great! what do you want? my treat"
hakuji blinks, "you don't have to pay.. i have my own money"
"yeah, but you invited me out when you didn't have to! you deserve it" you wink. "what do you want?"
he rolls his eyes, deciding to not argue with you knowing it'll go nowhere. "cha time?"
"you know me too well" you grin wide, dragging hakuji over to the small store, using the screen to start your order.
you get [order], stepping aside to allow hakuji to enter his order.
"i'm going to go to the bathroom really quick" hakuji says, averting his eyes suddenly as you blink but nod, stepping over to lean against the wall nearby the store, pulling out your phone.

hakuji returned only moments after you collected both of your drinks, taking his with a 'thanks' as you both take a big sip.
"okay, where to now?" you ask.
"hmm, i don't really need anything else, so we can just wander around?"
"sounds good to me!" you grin, grabbing the males wrist again and dragging him along, ever oblivious to his red face and thumping heart.
the two of you weave around the town centre for next two hours, slipping in and out of stores and both somehow emerging with numerous more shopping bags (mostly due to you convincing hakuji to get every little thing he likes or just buying it for him if he refuses).
"this is why i don't go shopping" hakuji deadpans, weighed down by the number of bags he had on his arms.
"i did say i could carry my own bags" you point out.
he rolls his eyes, "what kind of man would i be if i made you carry your own bags?"
your cheeks warm slightly but you shake your head, "so we've got everything we need?"
"i believe so" he nods, scanning the bags.
"alright. where are you parked?"
"down there" he points down the closest escalator and you beam, "me too! let's go"
you hurry along, hakuji mildly struggling to keep up as you toddle along to the car park.
"i'm over here" you point to your car.
"i'm on the other side, but i'll walk you to your car"
you grin, "such a gentleman"
he rolls his eyes but follows you to your car, slipping your bags in the backseat as you open the door for him.
"alright lad, i'll see you tomorrow" you yawn, leaning against your car.
"one more thing" he murmurs suddenly, fishing through one of his bags as you blink owlishly, head cocking just slightly.
finally he pulls out a small box, labelled with the same brand that he got his mothers jewellery from.
"for you" he mumbles awkwardly, practically shoving the box in your hand as you blink widely, cheeks growing increasingly red as you slowly open the box, eyes widening at the sight of a beautiful bracelet inside, small gems encrusted all along and a dainty snowflake charm hanging off.
hakuji watches your face as you simply stare at the bracelet, his face contorting nervously as the possibility of you not liking it crosses his mind.
"you don't have to like it.. i don't know if it's the right metal, i just seen you were wearing [metal of choice] today and your earrings are usually the same so i just thought it'd get that but if you don't like it i can return it and get you something else or just-"
hakuji's rambling is cut off by a pair of soft lips pressed suddenly to his cheek. his eyes widen and his face turns an impossible shade of red, lips parting as the words die off.
"i love it, hakuji" you say seriously, "like a lot. it's so beautiful and thoughtful. thank you" you say sincerely, smiling warmly as he coughs, rubbing his face in his inner elbow and smiling back.
"i'll see you tomorrow, [name]"
"see you tomorrow, hakuji"
