[ CHAPTER X ]
"The wound is quite deep because of delaying in treatment but there's nothing to be worried about. It will get healed soon. I have already made an ointment to apply on the wound. After using it continuously, there will be no scars" the imperial doctor said. "I will take my leave first your majesty, I will come to check from time to time"
Manik nodded and the doctor left with Ishank. Nandini sat on the chair with her hand wrapped in gauze. Manik sat beside her.
"Are you satisfied with my performance?" He touched her check, "you don't have to hurt yourself to make your way. All you need to do is say a word and I will vent your anger. They won't bother you for the time being"
Nandini nodded, she knew she was impulsive for a moment. She hold his hand, "I'm sorry, I worried you so much"
"I'm just worried you will get hurt" he sighed, "Nhu, promise me you are not going to do anything like this again"
"I promise" she smiled as she leaned against his chest. "This is s small wound, it will get healed with time"
"Are you hungry?" He asked.
"No husband. I want to take a good bath"
"At this time?"
"Hmmm....."
"I will help you" he picked her up walking towards the bath hall.
Emperor's bath hall was bigger with a different style. A square sized pool was built for bathing. Manik discarded his cloths and to remove hers. Unhooking her top he kissed her shoulder tracing his lips down to her back. She arched her back biting her lips. He hugged her from behind and kissed her neck as he undressed her completely. Their cloths laid on the floor mixed together.
He cupped her chin tilting her head for a kiss. Their nacked body pressed together feeling hotness of eachother.
"You taste delicious" he whispered against her lips. She turned around, hooking her arms around his neck. She tiptoed to reach his level and kissed him fiercely. He couldn't control as he picked her up wrapping her legs around his waist. While kissing her entered the water soaking their body.
"Are you sure Nhu? Your hand is still—" he said once they broke the kiss but she stopped him.
"Don't say anything. Just love me husband" her seductive tone was like an oil poured in the fire.
He smirked, "remember, you asked for it. Hold tight"
Nandini smiled holding onto him tightly preparing herself to drown into his wilderness.

Manik gently rubbed her gauzed hand, careful enough not to hurt it. When he saw her scalded hand with her face clouded with grievance only he knew how he controlled himself. In the whole world the only thing he hate to see was his wife getting hurt and her tears.
He glanced at her sleeping form, "I won't let you get hurt again" he whispered to her. Leaning down he dropped a kiss on her forehead making her stir in sleep.
She opened her eyes and smiled at him, "you haven't slept?"
"I couldn't" he replied, "is your hand still paining?"
"No" she snuggled to him, "what time it is?"
"Past dinner time" he hugged her tightly. "You haven't eaten anything. Aren't you hungry?"
"Maybe a little. After all these incidents I am losing my appetite"
"You can't effect your body because of some irrelevant people They does not worth it" he said. "Besides there are more important matter to handle"
"Are you talking about mother?"
"Hmmm. She must be heartbroken after hearing the news. I am assured she will make a scene the moment she step inside the door. Calming her down will be difficult" Manik sighed.
"After I married into the family she has taught me many things personally. She was always patience with me and helped me understand everything that I needed to. We have gathered so many memories. Mother will be sad. The most regretable thing is neither I could call her mother nor tell her the truth"
"I never believed in miracle untill I found you again. I almost thought I lost you forever, I could never see you again, have you by my side. I have started to lose my reason to live" he said.
"But here we are now" she smiled. Her husband never asked how she turned to be a daughter-in-law. And she also don't have any explanation for that. She didn't cared about others but since her husband only cared for her not the unnecessary fact she is careless too.
Manik sighed, " couldn't ask for more"
"Husband, the matter of your marriage will definitely come up soon" Nandini smiled and looked at him, "what do you think, do you have anyone who can replace your former Empress?"
Manik looked at her mischievous expression. In this world only this woman has the courage to tease him. He smiled at her. She wants to play? He was glad to play along.
"My mother is returning soon, of course as the rule of the royalty the throne couldn't stay empty for long. In this case I should also rethink about second marriage" he nodded seriously.
Nandini raised an eyebrow, "ah! Really? Is his majesty interested in second marriage? This is really inhuman. I really miss my husband. Where is he? I need to find him" she printed to move from him but he caught her and pressed her down on bed.
This time his face was really serious. She could see jealousy reflecting in his eyes. And she knew obviously what's coming for her.
"Dared to think about other men?" His husky voice was unmatchable. She couldn't resist when he talk like that. Her husband's possessiveness is what she loved the most. As she looked at him, her heart beat faster going more wild.
"Whatever it is, old or new you must remember you are MINE. This body belongs to me, you're meant to be mine, only mine" he said through gritted teeth. He hate the fact when she talks about other men. Her mind, heart and thoughts should only filled by him and nothing else.
"Why are you jealous your majesty? You're about to find another wife yet I couldn't even think of my legally wedded husband?" She couldn't help but tease him more.
"Husband? Forget about him. You're mine" he said before kissing her. She pretended to protest but he hold her hand and pinned it down. His kiss was forceful and aggressive.
His kisses made her breathless. She writhed beneath him trying to break from the kiss. Luckily Manik released her. She took heavy breath. While she was catching her breath he leaned down kissing her cheek.
"I will never let you think about other men" he whispered while running his lips on her face. His hand slide down cupping her breast and face a squeeze which instigated her to moan loudly.
"I love it when you moan for me" he kissed her lips. "You will only moan for me, there will be only my name" he bite her shoulder while massaging her breast.
"Ah husband" she moaned and hold onto his shoulder to stop him but he didn't even moved.
"Resisting" he moved away looking at her flushed face. His eyes travelled down to her breasts which was grabbed by him. She was still naked from their last love making. Her bud erected which his touch making him smirk.
"So responsive Nhu" he said huskily.
Suddenly she pulled him down and kissed him hard, "you are an evil husband, always love to torture me" she complained.
"With you I really can't help it"
"Love me husband" she tried to kiss him again.
"You are already sore Nhu. I don't want you to get hurt" he denied.
"But—"
"I am already yours. You can have me whenever you want but I care more about your health" he kissed her when she was about to protest.
"I love you, do you know that?" He smiled.
"I only love my husband" she replied.
"I will order for some food, lately you are eating less" he sat on bed and Nandini pulled the silk cover over her naked body.
"What do you want to eat?" He smiled at her. He was wearing a bathrobe while his chest was on display.
This man is really sexy — she thought in her mind.
Not getting the answer he frowned, "Nhu?"
"Anything is fine" she replied hurriedly. She cursed in her mind. I'm behaving like a wanton woman.
"What happened? Why your cheeks are flushing?"
Nandini was startled by his question, "ah! Maybe because the room is hot"
Manik raised an eyebrow not believing her reason. He looked at her for sometime before smirking. Nandini turned her head sideways avoiding his gaze. Manik left to order food. Nandini bite her lips and her cheeks flushed more. Why I am like this? This is so embarassing. She thought in her mind and hide herself under the cover.
