"Ugh! I can't believe that little... little gremling!" Hokori huffed, banging the table with her fist. Shiro flinched. They understood that Hokori was frustrated and angry that her so-called 'master plan' didn't work, but did she have to be so violent about it?
"Stop being so childish Hokori." Skull said in a monotone voice, looking up from his book.
"I'm not being childish Skull-"
Shiro started walking away from the argument, covering their ears and shutting their eyes. They hated it. They hated it so much. It was stupid to keep arguing, but they just kept doing it. And they couldn't find the courage to stop them. "Shiro?" they heard Yami ask. Opening their eyes, they were surprised to see the shorter girl next to them.
"Y-Yami? Where..?" Shiro stammered, confused. They were outside in the balcony of the building. Shiro felt the warm air hit their face. 'Ah, I see... I must have zoned off while walking maybe.' they thought.
"You left, and I followed you. Were you going to have a panic attack?" the brunette asked, worried. The albino sighed, rubbing their arms while nodding. Frowning, Yami started patting their back to comfort them.
"It's just... Hokori is... so stupid! She can't... She can't just keep getting into arguments with us! She may be smart, sure, I'll give her that. But it's just... I don't think she's a good leader." Shiro ranted, nervous. They knew that if Hokori heard them, they'd be dead.
"I know. The only reason why she's the leader of the commandments it's because of her schemes." Yami frowned "In honestly, Skull is a way better leader than her. But the boss doesn't seem to think that." she huffed. Sitting down on the floor, the two just stayed quiet, enjoying the silence. It was comforting, to say the least.
"Hey, Yami..." Shiro called, the brunette looking at her "Do you... have any regrets?" they asked, hugging their knees close. Yami's eyes widened, not expecting that question. She frowned, looking up at the sky.
"...I think... I do..." she admitted "I... kinda regret being the reason why a friend almost died." she said with a sigh. Shiro's eyes widened, their head snapping towards her.
"What?!" they questioned. Yami nodded.
"I... I was such an idiot back then, y'know? A scaredy cat, that was afraid of anything." the commandment of greed said, laughing dryly "And... I abandoned her when she needed me the most. I bet my old friends hate me. They definitely do. There's no way they wouldn't." Shiro looked at Yami in shock. Is that what she had been hiding all this time? They saw how small tears started to form in the brunette's eyes.
"I really am... stupid." she laughed, crying.
Without hesitation, the albino brought the brunette into a hug. "It's alright, Yami... I'm here." they told her. Stiff, Yami slowly hugged back, burying her face on Shiro's chest.
"Thank you, Shiro..."
